The challenges of having achondroplasia dwarfism and growing up between her childhood surgeries taught her to turn “Can’t” into “Why not”. She believes her success comes from her faith and firm conviction that each person matters, has value and purpose – a message she is enthusiastic to share.

After graduating from Central Michigan University, Amy worked in the high-tech world of the Silicon Valley, taught early childhood education, married and raised four children: twins Jeremy and Zachary, Molly, and Jacob. Filming for the TLC TV show ‘little people, BIG world‘ began in 2006 and shortly after that, Amy published her first book: Short and Simple Family Recipes. As of early 2016, Amy and her family are filming their 12th season featuring 300+ episodes!

In 2009, she founded the Amy Roloff Charity Foundation, a nonprofit with a mission to “advocate for, inspire and add value to the lives of youth who face life challenges”. To date, the foundation has raised over $1,000,000 and donated to multiple local and national and international charities.

Amy’s children are grown and no longer living at home but she continues to support the daily activities of the 100+ acre family farm near Portland, Oregon. It is a major tourist destination especially in the Fall during pumpkin season. It is also a great place for her to keep testing new recipes. You can try her latest recipes right here at Amy Roloff's Little Kitchen!
